The Car Clans
Turbo Streaks The Turbo Streaks are formally known as the Racing Clan, and with good reason. All the cars here call Motortopia Speedway their second home, and all are some type of racecar. They claim the center of Motortopia City as their territory, incorporating the Speedway, a well-known repair shop, and the WMCZ TV-radio station. Their founder was Blue Streak, a champion Ford GT racer.

Nitro Machines The Nitro Machines are by far the most prestigious Car Clan of Motortopia, allowing only full-blooded luxury cars to join their ranks. They have to much money are always ready to inform anyone who doesn't know of that fact. They call the Motortopia Sky Tower, the tallest building in the city, home base, and members are frequently found hanging out in the exclusive Luxury Club. They were founded by Henry Carbourator VI, a high-ranking citizen of Motortopia in its early years, and a black-and-red Austin Healey.

Drag Strip Dragons The Drag Strip Dragons, founded by the legendary Rodger Dodger, are generally regarded as one of the poorest and meanest Clans. However, any member of the Dragons knows this to be untrue. While it's taken for granted that the life of a drag racer doesn't tend to create fortunes, they enjoy the fast-paced nature of what they do, and are usually quite laid-back off the track. Only in fights do their engines spit fire and roar like the dragons they were named for. The Muscle Car Clan have staked out the lower part of Motortopia's residential area, can normally be found hanging out at the fast-food restaurant Carlo's, and use the Racing History Museum on their land to generate a bit of cash between races.

Declassified Everyone who knows anything has heard of Declassified, the fierce band of motorcycles, dune buggies, half-planes, tanks, and anything that odesn't really fit into the category of "car", "truck", or "SUV", hence the name. The Noncar Clan was formed more recently than most of the other Clans, by Blast Lane Gold, a young and strong motorcycle who sick of being treated as second class to the "normal" cars. He and all who agreed with him deserted their Clans and carved out a place along Motortopia's eastern coastline, in the prosperous tourist district. The lighthouse is their base, but most spend their time either in the prominent hotel the Majestik or cruising around the popular amusement park they created, Thunderbird Town.
